Arada Developments recently announced the award of a $27 million contract to Al Marwan Heavy Machinery for Phase 2 of infrastructure works in AlJada. The $6.5 billion mixed-use property development project requires the construction of power, water, and communications networks, as well as landscape and road construction for several communities. Al Marwan Machinery's use of specialized construction equipment was crucial in completing the project successfully.

Equipment Used in Aljada by Arada Infrastructure Works

Due to the different requirements at Al Jada by Arada, multiple road building machinery were used to deliver the major real estate project on time. This included a large number of asphalt pavers, tipper trucks, and road rollers. Al Marwan Machinery utilizes state of the art Wirtgen, Dynapac, Volvo, Hamm, among other heavy equipment brands to get the job done right. These were used for the construction of main and secondary roads, parking lots, and a large paved area that is now used for the iconic Zad Food Square.

Specialized Heavy Equipment for Moving and Compacting Materials

The property development project was no simple task, and there needed various specialized heavy equipment to complete the work, including bulldozers, graders, and piling rigs. Bulldozers were used to level the ground and prepare it for further construction. The large, 112-ton Komatsu D475A dozer was first debuted on this site to move large piles of sand and material to create a clean, even surface.

Gradation work was handled by graders, which ensured that the ground had the proper slope for drainage and water flow. Machines such as the new Komatsu GD755-5R motor grader have a specialized blade that can cut and level the ground at precise angles. In addition to these machines, Al Marwan Machinery also used sheet piling rigs to lay the foundations for subsequent commercial and residential structures around the major Sharjah community development project.
