Masaar, which is “path” in Arabic, is a mixed-use community developed by Arada Developments. It comprises different communities or phases within itself, namely Sarai, Azalea, Robinia, Kaya, and Sendian, and it aims to bring the urban living experience into the arms of nature. This article will explore the role Al Marwan has played in the development of various infrastructure works at the masterplan project.
The Masaar project, situated in Al Tay, south of Sharjah, UAE is a part of Arada Developments' mission to revitalize the UAE's cityscape with sustainable and nature-oriented residential and commercial communities. With a budget of AED 8 billion, the Masaar megaproject aims to create an exceptional living environment with 4,000 villas and townhouses, incorporating a remarkable "green spine" adorned with 50,000 trees.
Al Marwan was entrusted with the critical task of executing the infrastructure works required for the Masaar project. The company successfully completed the construction of sales precinct access roads and buffer zones, a 6 km cycling track, and three underpasses. Moreover, Al Marwan took charge of various infrastructure services, including the establishment of a telecom network comprising MeetMe rooms, surface water drainage networks, sewerage networks featuring sewerage pumping stations, potable water networks, electrical networks, street lighting networks, CCTV systems, and gas networks.
Thanks to the great scale of infrastructure works, Masaar now boasts an array of outstanding amenities. These include a children's adventure playground, a skate park, an outdoor amphitheater, and Zad, a popular food district already present in Arada's sister community, Aljada. Additionally, professional sports facilities set in a serene woodland area further enhance the overall appeal of Masaar.
Al Marwan employed a diverse range of high-quality heavy equipment to tackle the demands of the Masaar project. The equipment fleet comprised Kobelco and Komatsu crawler excavators, Komatsu and CAT bulldozers, Bobcat skid steer loaders, Kato mobile cranes, Komatsu wheel loaders, and Volvo articulated haulers, as well as Hamm tandem rollers and pneumatic tyre rollers (PTRs).
By providing top-of-the-line heavy equipment and ensuring efficient project execution, Al Marwan played a crucial part in bringing Arada Developments' vision to life at Masaar.
